About Me

Little Brother (3), Me (Amy), Baby Z (9 months), The Husband, Big Brother (6),

I’m a proud wife and mother of three boys (!!!) who’s passionate about education, travel, history, and living responsibly. I began Oh So Savvy Mom as an answer to all my friends’ pleas for advice about all things baby. It served as a creative outlet of sorts to fill my long, lonely days as my husband worked on his Ph.D. At Oh So Savvy Mom, a blog that caters to the interests of women and mothers, you’ll find reviews of great products for the family, parenting tips, recipes, and some great giveaways, too!

Ever since the birth of my first child I’ve been obsessed with knowing everyone’s opinions, and the facts too, of course, about all things parent and child related.  My child has a cough.  Should I take him to the doctor?  What developmental milestones should my child be hitting at a given age?  What is causing that weird rash all over my kid?  The list could go on and on.

As my first son got a little older my need for constant answers to mommy questions slowed, I began another quest–the quest for the best deals on the best products for my little guys.  I love finding deals and living frugally.  I believe we’ve been given a beautiful world to live on and that we should take care of it in whatever way we can.  I cloth diaper the ‘Little Guy’ to help save our family money and take care of our earth.

When I find a product I love I just have to tell people about it!  When it comes to kid’s and baby products my friends often come to me for advice on which are the best products or features to look for in a product.  I’m usually a very reserved person, but, thankfully I seem to have “ask me, I have an opinion about everything” stamped on my forehead.  I created this blog as a way to write about my adventures in mommy-hood and to get the word out about products I’ve recently discovered.
My hubby serves as a Psychologist with the United States Air Force, and I am a stay-at-home mom of three.

Meet the Team!
Hi!  I’m Kate and I am the mother of three beautiful children.  My little ballerina is 6, my little buddy is 4 and my little girly-girl is now almost 2!  My husband is the most amazing, hard working guy and I am so lucky to call him and my children my family.  I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice but I spend my days being a stay at home mom.  Surprisingly though, I am hardly ever home!  These 3 kids keep be busy between dance, soccer, school and running various errands all day but I simply love doing it.  I love to travel, spend time with my family, squeeze in a date night with my hubby or have a girl’s night out with my high school friends.  With any leftover spare time I love crafting, finding amazing deals, exercising and cooking.  It might get crazy at times but I love it and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

  1. I have a question about the rafflecopter for the Breeze Through Summer in Style! “PonyUp! Kentucky” Handbags ~Review & Giveaway~
On the daily points there is one for other giveaways entered. I have entered only one other of your giveaways. Can I leave that as the same comment every day or is it a different one every day?

    • Great question! It needs to be a different giveaway each day. I’ll see if I can clarify that on my entry form. Thanks for coming and entering!

  3. Hi Amy,
We follow you on Twitter. My name is Loren Paulsen and I am the CEO of Kendall Research Systems, Inc.
We are marketing a product, which is a breakthrough in foot pain relief, for runners, walkers, and people on their feet a lot.
It’s a pure medical grade silicone orthotic, that unlike conventional orthotics will not change the fit of your shoe.
I have twin daughters, both of whom work in bio-tech and are on their feet for long hours each day.
They have found that wearing GelThotics really makes a difference, not just for their feet, but knees and lower back as well.
Our product is one of the few orthotics that works well in high heels as well. You can watch an interview with the inventor, Michael Kendall on the website.
You would be perfect to do a trial and review of our product. We are interested in having you test our product and review on your blog and your twitter page.
Please visit our site for more information on the product: http://www.kendallgelthotics.com
If you would like to do a giveaway, we would like the winner to be someone who would genuinely benefit from wearing them.
Our suggestion is that you invite contestants to visit our website or tweet about us, and write a brief description of their foot pain (no longer than 50 words).
Send us the winner’s name address and shoe size, we will fill the order.
As special thanks, your twitter and blog followers get a 25% discount, by using promo code “twitter”.
We look forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you,
    Loren Paulsen

  7. Great site!! I’ve enjoyed reading about you and your passion! Congrats on being an AF family. We are Army. It’s tough, but as long as you and your hubs communicate and laugh you’ll be just fine. We’ve been together 12 years in Oct and have been military for 7 years. It’s been good to us.
    God Bless!

    • Thanks so much Candy! The part that we’re really nervous about is, of course, deployment. We’ll see how that treats us. That may be the deciding factor for my husband about whether he thinks he can make it in the military. It is good to hear other people have good experiences. It is very encouraging.

  9. Hi,

I linked up a give-a-way but made a boo, boo, firstly I rushed and realised I didn’t assign it to the right dates as it finishes on the 8th of June and I listed it in the next 6 days one :(.. Secondly where it said list your name, I literally put my name “Lee” and it has therefore registered under my name giving no indication of the give-a-way which is a BYO reusable coffee cup.

How do I remove it and start all over again?

sorry can you advise, my email: leecarolineart@gmail.com
