About Me

Little Z (3), The Husband, Little Brother (6), Me, Big Brother (9)

I’m mom to three little boys ages 3, 6, and 9. My days are spent trying to prevent my toddler from burning down the house, locking himself in the freezer, and preventing other equally strange and disastrous events. When I’m not busy preventing catastrophe, I homeschool my two older boys. My husband, another big part of my life, is a psychologist with the US Air Force. I have a Bachelor of Science in Marriage, Family, and Human Development. On those rare occasions I get a bit of time to myself, I love to travel, cook, and eat ethnic foods! At Oh So Savvy Mom, a blog that caters to the interests of women and mothers, you’ll find reviews of great products for the family, parenting tips, recipes, and some great giveaways, too!

DAY_2493
Hi!  I’m Kate and I am the mother of three beautiful children.  My little ballerina is 6, my little buddy is 4 and my little girly-girl is now almost 2!  My husband is the most amazing, hard working guy and I am so lucky to call him and my children my family.  I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice but I spend my days being a stay at home mom.  Surprisingly though, I am hardly ever home!  These 3 kids keep be busy between dance, soccer, school and running various errands all day but I simply love doing it.  I love to travel, spend time with my family, squeeze in a date night with my hubby or have a girl’s night out with my high school friends.  With any leftover spare time I love crafting, finding amazing deals, exercising and cooking.  It might get crazy at times but I love it and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

  1. Your quote and website are on the front page of Yahoo news!! Congratulations!!! It’s nice to see another San Antonio mommy making it work for herself and her family!!

  2. Great site!! I’ve enjoyed reading about you and your passion! Congrats on being an AF family. We are Army. It’s tough, but as long as you and your hubs communicate and laugh you’ll be just fine. We’ve been together 12 years in Oct and have been military for 7 years. It’s been good to us.
    God Bless!

    • Thanks so much Candy! The part that we’re really nervous about is, of course, deployment. We’ll see how that treats us. That may be the deciding factor for my husband about whether he thinks he can make it in the military. It is good to hear other people have good experiences. It is very encouraging.
