Many of you who read my blog regularly will know that this summer my husband joined the Air Force and we became a military family. Since then military issues, particularly deployment have been much more on my mind. Please take a moment to check out the video below.

For many service men and women the day they return home is the happiest day of their lives! We have all seen the happy reunions of families during the holidays, but what happens after the reunion is over? For many men and women it’s the beginning of a new struggle, the struggle to put their families back together again, and it’s not easy. Military divorces have increased 42% since 2001, and that number is sure to increase with the number of service men and women returning home from Afghanistan.

Our last perfect date was a candlelit dinner and then a walk on the beach. That was about seven years ago, lol, but it was really wonderful.

My favorite date was my first date with my now husband. It was spent walking around the beautiful city of chicago and ended on the beach.
Any date with my husband is my dream date. Really. We have a blast whether we are eating at McDonalds or a 5 star place. I don’t know if I could handle separation from him. Thank you to your family for all you do for us.
