When I was little my brother and I had one of the classic yellow Tonka dump trucks. Oh, how that truck got played with! We used it for just about everything; in the playroom we’d transport our stuffed animals from one place to another, outside we’d transport dirt just for the fun of watching it dump out–it got played with a lot. Tonka continues to carry on the tradition of well made toys.

Tonka has recently released their new Roadway Rig collection. My boys love their new Fire Rescue Roadway Rig. The Roadway Rigs each haul a LED lit construction sign so your kids can warn their other toys of the impending dangers ahead. The signs are interchangeable, and additional road signs are printed on the package for you to cut out so your kids can make their own action scenes. Very cool!

My boys are too little to understand what the construction sign is, but they love pressing the buttons to make the sirens scream and racing the truck to someone’s aid. They don’t know it yet, but my mom bought them a firehouse for Christmas! This will be the perfect addition! I am anticipating this truck lasting us a long time. You can tell by the feel of it that it is well made and built to withstand rough boy play.
