I love cooking and baking in the kitchen and at our house this is one place that the kids all love to be with me. They love to help me measure the ingredients and mix things all together. They also love to sample and lick the beaters occasionally! But as we all know safety is essential with our children and sometimes the safest place for them isn’t in the kitchen. But I came across a company called Curious Chef and they make kitchen tools especially for our little ones! Every piece from Curious Chef’s collection’s are sized for small hands. What’s more, they made them bright, fun, and easy to grip. Even their cutlery is plastic and nylon, with blunt tips for safety.

I was so excited to discover the fun of Curious Chef products with my own daughter because she is always wanting to help us out in the kitchen. This is the Fruit and Veggie Prep Kit that we tried out. The products contained sharp edges and suggested ages 3 and up. I totally agree. I don’t think that kids much younger than that could even really work the tools.
This kit came with a vegetable scrubber, stickers, shopping list’s, vegetable peeler, melon baller, apple slicer, large silicone mixing spoon, and a medium nylon plastic knife.
So I put my little princess to work cleaning her apple.
She was so excited to be cutting her own apple! They are her favorite afternoon snack so she loved being able to do this by herself.
She loved the independence she got from being in the kitchen by herself! She did need a little help pushing the apple cutter through the apple but she had so much fun knowing that these were kitchen tools for kids to use.
There was a recipe on the box for a salad that sounds so yummy, and I can’t wait to try it! They also have recipes online that are easy and perfect for little ones to start out with. So check them out here and start making some memories with your kids in the kitchen!

These kitchen tools were so much fun to use with my daughter in the kitchen and I felt so much better knowing that they were safe for her use under my supervision. I already have my list of things I want her to come help me with for the holidays! There always seems so much baking to be done! Cookies, pies, neighbor treats, salads….. I could just go on and on!
