Big Idea Entertainment presents two new DVDs! VeggieTales Bob Lends A Helping Hand and Larry Learns To Listen. Each DVD features over 70 minutes of family-friendly fun with three stories including two classic bestselling VeggieTales shows, plenty of music and other bonus content. Both DVDs also help parents teach children important and valuable lessons.
VeggieTales Larry Learns to Listen
When Larry’s new Space Squadron game finally arrives, he’s so anxious to play that he forgets to read the directions. When his friends do their best to tell him, Larry refuses to listen! What happens? His game goes ‘KERPOW!’ That’s when Larry learns a valuable lesson in listening as his friends come to the rescue. Kids will discover, right along with Larry, that God gave friends and family to help us through each day—so when we listen we don’t miss what others have to say! Also includes two classic shows: “Pistachio” and “Josh and the Big Wall.”
DVD Bonus Features:
- Sing-Along to “Larry Learns to Listen”
- Visit a Marionette Theater
- Sing-Along to “Song of the Cebu” (I love the Cebu song!)
- Interactive Book
VeggieTales Bob Lends a Helping Hand
When Joe’s mom breaks her big left toe, Bob the Tomato decides to help. Larry and Joe offer their ‘superhero’ help, too, but that’s not exactly what Bob has in mind. Kids will discover right along with Larry and Joe that everyone can be a superhero if you lend a helping hand! Also includes two classic shows, “Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry’s Big River Rescue” and “Lyle the Kindly Viking.”
DVD Bonus Features:
- Sing-Along to “Bob Lends A Helping Hand”
- Boiling River Family Activity (From “Lyle the Kindly Viking” show)
- How to Draw Tom and Huck (From “Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry’s Big River Rescue” show)
- Interactive Book
By now, we are all fans of Veggie Tales at our house. I wouldn’t say that they are Big Brother’s favorite movies to watch. No, unfortunately, his favorites are violent, fast paced superhero cartoons. Since he’s only allowed 30 minutes of superhero shows each day, Veggie Tales often comes in as his backup.
One of the things I really like about Veggie Tales is that they open a lot of doors for parents to teach their children important principles without having to lecture. Bob Lends a Helping Hand and Larry Learns to Listen are both great examples of
that. At 4 1/2 Big Brother is just getting old enough to help out with things around the house. He has small chores, but we’re not yet consistent with having him do them. He, like most 4 year olds, is also very high energy and often has trouble listening. Both DVD’s are great to use as teaching tools and as conversation starters.
Veggie Tales DVDs are a great Christmas gift idea for the kids!
You can purchase the DVDs individually for 14.99 or together for $20.
